Easter

We did the typical Easter things to celebrate this week. Easter egg hunts, coloring eggs, making Easter treats, reading books about the Easter bunny and eating way too much candy! I must say that Easter candy is by far my favorite holiday candy. And when I went to the store on Valentine's Day and saw that Easter candy was filling the aisles I just about screamed. All that candy, sitting there tempting me for two more months! Glad that is over. Ty, on the other is pretty disappointed that Easter is over. The week of Easter he woke up every morning to tell me that he had seen the Easter Bunny. Then on Saturday night he went to bed with his camera nestled next to him so he could get a picture of the Easter Bunny. The boys were pretty excited to see their Easter baskets full Sunday morning. Trey ate all of his candy, half of Halley's candy, and even a little bit of Ty's candy before the day was over.

We also talked a lot about the last week of Christ's life with the kids. It is so cute to hear them tell me the Easter story and try to pronounce words like Gethsemane, resurrection, and crucified. And I got to relive memories of our Israel visit and the wonderful experiences we had there as we strengthened our testimonies of Christ. Easter Sunday was made even more special with Brad speaking in Sacrament and Ty giving the talk in Primary. They both did an excellent job and Halley looked super cute in her Easter dress.
